Following a veterinary referral, every animal receives a full assessment lasting up to one hour. Assessment includes –
× A full history of the current problem and relevant past history
× Assessment of posture and gait and ability to move between positions (For working dogs with subtle problems this may include watching them perform their usual working activity)
× Examination of joint range of movement, muscle bulk and quality and areas of pain/spasm or discomfort.
At the end of the assessment I will discuss the clinical findings and the plan of treatment with you, and outline the number of treatment sessions that will be required as appropriate for your animal.
